Product Care

1. About Calzarelli Craftsmanship

All Calzarelli footwear is meticulously handmade using carefully selected premium materials.

Our goal is not only to present shoes with refined aesthetics, but also to support their long-term durability when cared for correctly.

If you require any additional guidance, our team is always available to assist you.

2. Care Notice – Important Guidelines

Please keep your Calzarelli shoes away from substances such as alcohol, oils, chemical solvents, and moisture—including rain or accidental splashes.

If your shoes become damp, let them air dry naturally and avoid using heaters or direct sunlight.

Do not wash your shoes with soap and water. Suitable leather-care products may be used when needed, following the instructions closely. Before applying them broadly, test a small hidden area to ensure the color remains stable.

We also recommend keeping your original proof of purchase.

Kindly note that the following care tips are provided as general advice, and Calzarelli cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from their application.

3. Proper Storage of Calzarelli Shoes

Store your Calzarelli footwear inside the included dust bag and shoebox, and keep them away from direct sun exposure or excessive heat.

For designs featuring crystals or metal hardware, place them in a way that prevents embellishments from rubbing against the shoe’s surface.

Allow adequate ventilation before putting the shoes away.

4. Keeping the Shape of Your Shoes

Natural changes in structure may occur as shoes conform to your feet and gradually relax with continued wear.

To help preserve their silhouette, we suggest using shoe trees or filling the shoes with acid-free tissue paper when not in use.

5. Caring for Leather Soles

Calzarelli shoes feature smooth, high-quality leather soles, which may show wear after the first few uses—this is normal and not indicative of a defect. Avoid walking on wet or slippery surfaces, as moisture can affect the leather sole and may transfer marks onto the upper. We do not recommend resoling, as this could alter the original construction of the footwear.

6. Lining Care

The interior linings of Calzarelli shoes are crafted from smooth leather. To clean, gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For suede-lined shoes, a soft suede brush can be used to lightly restore the texture.

7. Heel Tip Maintenance

Heel tips naturally wear down over time with regular use. Replace heel tips once noticeable wear appears to prevent imbalance or structural changes to the shoe. A trusted cobbler can perform these replacements safely.

8. Crystal and Hardware Care

Calzarelli shoes with crystal embellishments are handmade with precision. Ensure crystals and hardware do not rub against the upper to avoid scratches or damage.
Store shoes in their dust bags to protect the embellishments. Avoid contact with water, oils, alcohol, or solvents. If wet, gently blot dry immediately.

9. Calf and Nappa Leather Tips

Calf leather provides a smooth, resilient surface that will soften and form natural creases over time. Wipe lightly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt. Neutral leather conditioner may be used sparingly after testing a hidden area, ensuring the shoes are completely dry.

10. Metallic Leather (Laminated Nappa) Tips

Metallic leather has a delicate laminated finish and is prone to marking. Store and transport shoes in their protective dust bags. Avoid sharp or rough surfaces. Do not apply leather care products to metallic leathers.

11. Patent Leather Tips

Patent leather is finished with a lacquer coating, giving a glossy, durable surface. Lightly clean with a soft cloth to maintain shine. Store away from other leathers, sunlight, and heat to prevent color transfer or damage.

12. Suede Tips

Suede offers a soft, velvet-like feel and absorbs rich colors. Light brushing with a soft suede brush will remove surface dirt and even out nap. Keep shoes in dust bags away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve color depth.

13. Calf Hair Shoes

Calf hair (pony hair) is natural calf leather with fur intact. Expect color variations and occasional shedding. Brush gently along the hair direction using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid rough surfaces or sharp objects to prevent permanent bald spots.
Do not apply leather care products.

14. Fur Shoes

Fur may shed hairs naturally, which stabilizes with wear. If wet, allow to air dry away from heat. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove light dirt. Avoid friction or sharp surfaces to prevent permanent bald spots.
All sourced fur is obtained responsibly. For guidance, consult leather and fur specialists.

15. Exotic Skins

Exotic skins (snake, lizard) are delicate. Avoid sharp or abrasive surfaces. Scales may lift or change color over time. Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth without tugging.
Uncolored leather cream can maintain suppleness; always test on a hidden area first. Sourced responsibly.

16. Satin Shoes

Satin is smooth and luxurious. Avoid rough or sharp objects to prevent pulls or tears. Crystal-adorned satin shoes should be stored in dust bags. Protect from liquids; gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Water-protector sprays can help, test first.

17.Silk Fabric Shoes

Delicate silk fabric with a matte finish. Avoid contact with rough objects. Crystal-embellished shoes should be dust-bagged. Keep away from liquids; lightly clean with a soft, dry cloth.

18. Metallic Textiles

Metallic fabrics shimmer beautifully. Prevent contact with sharp or rough surfaces. Crystal decorations should be protected in dust bags.

19. Velvet Shoes

Velvet is dense and soft. Minor color changes may occur from friction. Remove dirt gently; light steaming restores pile. Do not use leather care products.

20. Linen, Cotton, Canvas

Durable woven fabrics. Avoid strong sunlight. Store in care bags when not worn. Protect from liquids; wipe surface gently with a soft, dry cloth.

21. Wool & Tweed Shoes

Wool and tweed fabrics are warm and durable, offering a rich texture. Avoid rough or sharp surfaces to prevent snags or tears. Minor pilling may occur with wear.

Wool absorbs moisture easily; protect shoes from rain, alcohol, oil, and other liquids. Wipe surface dirt gently with a soft, dry cloth.

22. Lace Shoes

Lace is lightweight and delicate. Avoid sharp or rough surfaces to prevent snags. For lace shoes with crystal accents, store in dust bags to protect both fabric and crystals.

Protect from liquids; gently clean surface with a soft, dry cloth.

23. Raffia Shoes

Raffia, made from woven jute leaves, is soft yet durable. Unlined design ensures breathability, perfect for barefoot wear. Socks can help stretch new shoes. Natural jute dyes may transfer color slightly. Jute’s natural oils keep it soft without additional care.

Protect from liquids. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. If wet, stuff with paper and air dry away from heat or sunlight.

24. Glitter Shoes

Glitter shoes have sparkling textured surfaces. Avoid contact with rough or sharp objects to prevent glitter loss.

Do not use leather care products. Gently wipe surface with a soft, dry cloth. If wet, allow to dry naturally away from heat and sunlight.

25. PVC Shoes

PVC offers a sleek look with transparent panels. While durable, PVC is synthetic with limited breathability, and may fog during wear.

Clean surface dirt with a soft, dry cloth. Do not apply leather care products, as clarity may be affected.
